ValidateHTML

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

ValidateHTML is operated by LABELENA, a French simplified joint stock company (SASU) registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 107 177 446, with its registered office at 229 rue Saint-Honore, 75001 Paris, France. Intra-community VAT number FR48107177446. Director: Theo Ducreux.

ValidateHTML is a trading name. Invoices, payment records and any legal correspondence are issued in the name of LABELENA. Contact: contact@validatehtml.com.

2. The free tools

The validators, checkers and formatters on this site are free, require no account, and are provided as they are. Code you paste or a URL you submit is processed to produce a result and is not stored, logged or shared. See the Privacy Policy for details.

We may rate-limit or block automated use that degrades the service for other people. We do not guarantee availability, and we may change or withdraw a free tool at any time.

3. The subscription, and what it delivers

The paid service audits a website against the same rules the free Accessibility Checker applies, across multiple pages rather than one, and returns a report at a private link. Plans:

  • Solo: 29 EUR per month excluding VAT, one site, up to 100 pages per site per run.
  • Agency: 79 EUR per month excluding VAT, 5 sites, up to 300 pages per site per run.

The first report is produced immediately on subscription. The audit then runs again every week and you are emailed when the findings change. Pages are selected by template rather than in sitemap order, so the page limit above is a ceiling on what is read, not a promise that every page of a larger site is covered. Sites beyond the 300 page limit are quoted separately.

4. What the audit is not

The report is an automated audit and a remediation list. It is not a certification, and on its own it does not establish conformance with the European Accessibility Act, with WCAG at any level, or with any other standard or legal obligation.

Automated testing detects a genuine subset of accessibility failures and cannot detect the rest. It cannot judge whether alternative text is useful, whether a keyboard user can complete a task, colour contrast, whether a label makes sense out of context, or anything requiring a person using assistive technology. Each report states what its pass could not test.

You remain responsible for your own compliance. Nothing in a report, on this site or in any communication from us constitutes legal advice or a conformance assessment.

5. Price, VAT and payment

Prices are stated excluding VAT. VAT is calculated and applied at checkout according to your location and status: French customers are charged French VAT, business customers elsewhere in the European Union who supply a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge mechanism, and customers outside the European Union are charged no EU VAT. Supplying a valid VAT number is your responsibility.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Invoices are available at any time from the billing portal linked in every report.

We may change prices with at least 30 days notice by email. A price change never applies to a period already paid for.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, without contacting us and without giving a reason. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the service continues until then and is not renewed afterwards.

Reports already delivered remain yours and their links keep working after cancellation. Cancelling stops future audits, it does not withdraw past ones.

7. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because the first report is produced and delivered immediately on subscription, you are asked to acknowledge at checkout that performance begins at once and that your right of withdrawal is lost once that first report has been delivered, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

Business customers do not benefit from a statutory right of withdrawal. The refund below applies to everyone regardless.

8. Refunds

If we cannot read your site, we refund in full. Some sites block automated requests entirely, and we would rather return the money than deliver a report built on whatever got through. Ask by email and we will not argue about it.

Outside that case, subscriptions are not refunded for periods already elapsed. Cancel and the current period simply runs to its end.

9. Your responsibilities

You may only submit sites you own or are authorised to audit. Auditing a site sends automated requests to it, and you are responsible for having the right to do that.

Report links are private but unguessable rather than password protected. Anyone holding a link can read that report. Treat it as a document you choose who to forward to.

10. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. An audit may be incomplete when a site is slow, unreachable, or blocks automated requests; the report states when that happened rather than hiding it.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid over the twelve months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect loss, including lost revenue, lost data, or any consequence of a compliance decision you took on the basis of a report. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension

We may suspend or end a subscription, with a pro rata refund of the unused period, if it is used to audit sites you have no right to audit, to attack or overload a third party, or in a way that breaks the law. We will tell you why.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes affecting an active subscription are announced by email at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel before they take effect. The date at the top of this page is always the version in force.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may use the European Commission online dispute resolution platform. Any dispute we cannot settle amicably falls to the competent French courts.

Starting from 29 EUR per month, these terms apply to the paid subscription only. Everything free on this site is covered by sections 1, 2 and 10.
